Okay what I like about being a leap year kid is that it's sort of fun, being unique, and only having a birthday every four years. We've done some fun things when it's not leap year, like I've stayed up till midnight with friends, and on that brief second where the 28th goes to March 1st, I blow out my candles, quickly.

What I don't like is that I don't have a real whole day to celebrate my birthday. And so that sometimes is weird.

I bet I like it when I get older and can honestly say I'm really much younger, in 'real' years

thats cool about mississipi and the church camps. i start classes back on monday .Last wednesday we had a horrible earthquake here (Peru) and it was the scariest thing ever. I wanted to let you know that I just watched Take A Chance. I finally got the DVD and I really loved it. It's a great movie. I thought it was hilarious and a lot of fun to watch. Corbin and Kirby are really good actors and now I'm anxious to see more of their work. They were really funny. Of course my favorite scenes were the ones with you in them. You were awesome, Cait!!! You did a GREAT job as always and I loved all of your expressions. It was wonderful work and it was so cool to see you onscreen again! The coolest part was the DVD Extras, especially the behind-the-scenes featurette. It was really cool when they showed you filling in as "director." I bet that was a lot of fun, huh? It's been a while! How have you been? I'm so glad you had such a great time in LA. I also went to Seal Beach and Santa Monica Beach when I was there last summer. I went to Santa Monica Beach with the Colemans. It was awesome!!! That was my first time seeing the ocean, so you can imagine what an amazing and overwhelming experience that was for me. I had the best time. That was one of the most special nights of my life. It was amazing. I'm going to be in LA again in a few weeks. I can't wait! I wish you could be there so I could meet you. Well, who knows...maybe you'll get called out for an audition or something. I'm hoping to go to Sea World this time.

thanks soo much 4 ur advice. i do every school play i can, and every play within other camps. im also in a camp at the berkeley rep. i dont know if thats what u mean, but im sure plays that ur not pretty much required to get at least a super small part (which luckily is less than i get lol!!) is way different and harder. i'll talk to my parents about the fact that u dont have 2 pay an agent if u dont have a job. that makes me not feel so ashamed to ask about it. hehe.

I hope you can find an agent in your town. Being an actress is fun, but it's a lot of work. I go on lots of auditions and never get the job, but I don't give up cos I know that one day I will.

I am writing to you because I can tell you really want to be an actress, and I do know that without a parent's support it's going to be very hard.
I'm not sure if you live in our area, but if you do, you could try the local talent agencies and see if you can get an appointment. You do not have to pay an agent anything unless you book a job, and then you pay 10%.
What Caitlin did to get started was to try out for local community theatre and school plays etc. Then she got an agent and she's been doing this for a long time. It takes time to become an actress, you go out on tons of auditions without ever getting a job.
I'm not trying to discourage you, but it's something that doesn't happen overnight.
Try and join a community theatre and do some plays, see if you still love it. Also try and find an agent in your area, look in the yellow pages under Modeling/talent agencies and see if your folks will take you to meet them.

Hi everyone,
To answer your question Marianne, I'm not a religious person and wouldn't class myself as a member of any faith or Church. I have heard of the LDS Church though, primarily due to the location of the temple I mentioned previously, and there is also a church/meeting house building (sorry, I'm not sure what they are called) a short distance from my house. Aside from that however, I know little about the Church.
If you do go to the Caribbean (lucky!) have a great time. Easter (Spring) break has already passed here, but there is a national holiday tomorrow (Monday) to celebrate VE Day. In case you're interested, the summer break for English and Welsh schools usually starts around July 24th and Scotland is normally about a month earlier.

We have similar basketball tournaments here in the UK, but they are done by county and then region rather than nationally. The current winners for my county (West Sussex) I think are Oriel High School.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has a temple a few miles outside of Crawley (here). It's a beautiful buiding, especially at night, and is somewhat of a local landmark to the area.

well actually i used to play it when i was like in grade 4 and 5, then stopped, but this year i am playign it again at school, but we have just started, so we dont have positions now, and still dont know if we will have later. I too am very sorry to hear about your Grandma. I lost my Grandma a little over a year ago now, so I can remember what it was like. Although we weren't very close anymore (she still lived in Scotland so I had only seen her maybe twice in 5 years) it was still very sad.

I'll answer seeing as Cait's at school, every year they double cast the show for the kids, so Cait will do her shows Monday Wed and Friday and the other girl will do it Tues Thurs Saturday. They do this so the girls can do other things, as the show take a lot of time.
So the other girl was Little Fan in the other cast, (same show).
Also for three years she was Little Fan, and last year she got to be the Ghost and also the Turkey Boy and the Carol Boy.. (YES BOY) She sings a solo as the Carol boy, its cute.
I hope that clears it up.

Hey everyone
Okay I dont talk about auditions, cos it's just one of my things. I love theatre its so much fun, anytime any of you are in town, and I'm in a show, come on over. The Hale theatre is the best, the people are nice, and it's fancy, and they feed you good too! The play is about a family and what happens when the big sister brings home a boy, who she wants to marry. I play Lonnie, the younger sister, who dies before the end of the play. Sad huh?
Okay well today I'm going to see my friend in a play called Seussical the Musical, it should be fun fun.

I go back to school on Monday. Here we do a 2 week timetable, classes are 60 min long all of the time and there are no half days :(. Still, out of the 50 periods in the 2 weeks I only have 27 of them as classes which can't be bad and means I can go home early most days.

hi cait! oh i want to watch "a pioneer miracle" too, i think i'm gonna buy it one of this days :) Thats cool that you have friends in almost every class..i can see it's different there, here, every single class is with the same people. Dont you know everybody in your class? Isnt it the same class every year? that's how it is at my school, but they mix the clases 2 times (in all the years we are at school) so u know everybody, but you can be always with your friends.

Hi Cait, I'm sure you'll be fine! I remember my first day of the school I go to now... that was a big shock. I'd just moved from a really small school with about 400 kids to a large town school with something like 1400! Plus I'd moved about 600 miles and had an accent that nobody really understood...

I had a great day today, I met some of my friends who I've worked with on commercials and movies. One of my friends is really nice, he was working on a movie and let me watch him working the camera and stuff.

I had to try very hard to get my first part, I auditioned for about a year before I got my first commercial, and then it was a long time before my first movie part.
I did a lot of theatre too, that is fun because you can be doing what you like to do, while waiting for a part in a movie or tv.
I would love to do a movie for Disney a family type movie. I also would like to do an adventure movie too.

I like your work Cait, well done! And wow, I really like this site. The funky butterflies are mesmerising, they even move in the opposite direction to what I'm scrolling. The only problem I'm having with this site is on your pictures page. Due to my dial-up connection, not all of the images can load; this is probably the case for most dialup connections. Might wanna sort that.
